PTs are needed for evaluations.
PTs and PTAs are needed to serve as Mentors, see description below.
PTs will be doing the initial evaluations and re-evaluations of the patients.
PT and PTA Mentors will be guiding the follow-up treatments as role models of excellence in examination, treatment and clinical decision making. Mentors are encouraged to articulate clinical reasoning, answer questions, and foster a nurturing mentoring experience with the students and patients. In addition, they should be comfortable with multiple students observing performance of examinations and treatments. Mentors could comment out loud about what they are observing, the treatment techniques, and choice for clinical decisions. Students will document various aspects of the treatment and generate questions to understand the clinical decision making process by the licensed therapist. During and after the initial examination and treatments, there will be discussion with the students.
