Travel to Dale Chihuly’s world-renowned Pilchuck Glass School

Post Date:04/13/2016 10:44 a.m.

Bellingham, Wash. – Registration is now open for WCC Community & Continuing Education’s May 7 artist road trip to world-renowned Pilchuck Glass School. Located on a remote 54-acre site in Skagit County, Pilchuck Glass School has grown to become the world's most comprehensive center for glass-art education. Don't miss this rare insider's look at the school, founded in 1971 by glass artist Dale Chihuly.

The day begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 7 with a one-hour lecture at WCC. The class will then travel by relaxing coach provided by day-trip partner Bellair Charters. Accompanied by local artists Trish Harding and Deb McCunn, participants will enjoy a rustic brunch with artists, tour the studios, view the fascinating process of glass making, talk with working artists, and enjoy the bucolic setting before returning to Bellingham by 5 p.m. Registration deadline is April 28 at noon. Brunch and guided tour are included in $95 course fee. To register or for more information, call 360.383.3200 or visit
