WCC hosts Voices of Islam panel to showcase student perspectives
Bellingham, Wash. – A panel of Muslim students who attend Whatcom Community College (WCC) will share personal perspectives regarding their faith at a 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, April 28 Voices of Islam program at Syre Auditorium on the WCC campus. The event is free and open to the public; refreshments will be provided. Panel members represent Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Malaysia. WCC adjunct history faculty Mary Haberman will moderate the panel. The event is hosted by Whatcom’s World Languages, Global Citizen Association and International programs as part of the College’s Islam Awareness Week.
