WCC hosting men’s soccer camps June 4 and 5

Camps are for high school and college-aged soccer players interested in playing collegiately

Bellingham, Wash. – Whatcom Community College (WCC) is hosting two soccer camps for high-school and college-age men interested in playing collegiately. The Saturday, June 4 camp is open to male soccer players in 9th grade and above. The Sunday, June 5 camp is for current WCC students. Players will be pushed to better themselves and given the opportunity to be seen by the entire WCC coaching staff. Registration deadline is May 25.

The open camp on June 4 runs 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Orca coaching staff will be on site to coach, observe, train and evaluate participants. Current WCC soccer players will assist as well. Registration is $75 per person. The June 5 camp for current WCC students runs 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. It is free for currently enrolled students. Camps include several training sessions, opportunities to ask questions about WCC’s program, and full-field matches. Both camps are at WCC’s Orca Field. Participants should bring water and a lunch. WCC men’s soccer team consistently competes in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) championships. In the 2015 season, the men placed second in the NWAC’s North Region.
