Students in Kaatje Kraft’s winter quarter environmental geology class (Geology 110) researched soil and water quality at Growing Veterans' farm in Lynden. During the quarter, students visited the farm to learn about growing challenges. They developed research questions, determined how to measure and answer the questions, and then presented their findings in the final week of class to Growing Veterans staff. Three students (see photo below) also presented their results at the American Geophysical Union's national virtual poster showcase to which their abstract was accepted.
