Luthy Selected to Lead WCC Volleyball
BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Whatcom Community College athletic director Chris Scrimsher has announced the hiring of Cody Luthy to lead the women’s volleyball program.
Luthy played three seasons of club volleyball for Western Washington University while pursuing his degree in Business Administration. Cody was named to the All-PIVA League Honors team during the 2016-17 season.
Luthy served as a member of the coaching staff for the WWU women’s club program in 2016-17. In addition to his work with WWU club volleyball, Cody has served as a coach with the Ferndale Volleyball Club.
Coach Luthy takes over a program which returned to the NWAC tournament in 2017 and finished third in the NWAC northern region. Despite graduating sophomore talent, Luthy is optimistic for the 2018 season and looks forward to taking on the challenge.
Outside of the gym, you can find Cody running his alpaca farm in Olympia, Washington. He is grateful for the opportunity to join the WCC athletic department and eager to continue the established traditions of success.
