Bellingham, Wash. – Whatcom Community College head men’s basketball coach Tom Rawlings has announced the addition of Tyler Blouin from Anacortes High School.

Blouin (Anacortes, WA) a 6’ guard who brings a defensive mentality along with long-range shooting, is the first signee of the 2018-19 recruiting class for WCC. During his senior season at Anacortes, Tyler was named All-Northwest Conference second team while averaging 15 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3 steals. Blouin also served as a captain for Seahawks during his senior season and helped lead them to a 20-3 record. Whatcom head coach Tom Rawlings said, “Tyler brings added toughness and depth to our guard position. His defense along with leadership and ability to score make him a well-rounded player.” Whatcom will look for Blouin to contribute this winter and have been impressed with what they have seen from him during the spring.
