Men's Basketball Adds WWU Transfer Oliveri
Bellingham, Wash. – Whatcom Community College head men’s basketball coach Tom Rawlings has announced the addition of Dominick Oliveri from Lewis and Clark High School and Western Washington University.
Oliveri (Spokane, WA) a 6’8 forward joins WCC with one year of eligibility remaining at the NWAC level following his time at Western Washington University (NCAA II). Dominick averaged 11.8 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game during his senior season at Lewis and Clark High School.
Dominick spent the 2016-17 season as a redshirt with WWU and appeared in seven games for the Vikings in 2017-18. “Our staff is excited to add a quality young man, who has shown he can compete at the NCAA level.” said assistant coach Michael Wade. “Dominick has shown commitment to his play on the court and his performance in the classroom. We believe he will be a valuable part of our program this season!”
Oliveri joins an impressive recruiting class set to join the Orcas in 2018-19 for head coach Tom Rawlings. Whatcom has added all-conference guard Tyler Blouin (Anacortes, WA) and NWAC transfer Garrett Fitt (Kenai Central/Everett CC) to the program, as well as true freshman Luke Beiser (Kenai Central).
