Bellingham, Wash. – Whatcom Community College head women’s soccer coach Mary Schroeder has announced the signing of Peyton Schwinger to an NWAC Letter of Intent.

Schwinger (Bellingham, WA) joins the WCC women’s soccer program following a standout prep career for Bellingham High School where she participated in both Soccer and Tennis. Peyton was selected as a team captain for the Red Raiders. The 5’6 forward was named to the Northwest Conference first team in 2017 in addition to a second-team All-State selection.

Peyton on why she chose Whatcom, “I chose WCC because I was really impressed by their commitment to their players.” “WCC sets the bar pretty high both athletically and educationally.” Peyton will join the Orcas for the 2018 season and looks to help build off of last season’s NWAC tournament appearance.
