A young student plays with some craft materials while attending Camp Half-blood at Kids' CollegeBellingham, Wash. – Whatcom Community College’s Community & Continuing Education program will offer a variety of summer learning opportunities for youth from middle to high school. Kids’ College 2018 offers many options for children and teens to explore their curiosity and creativity while having a blast doing it. Great courses include mountain biking, photography, writing, cooking, computer programming and much more.

Some highlights of this summer’s programming include:

Black Rocket Digital Arts Camps

From video game design to coding, Black Rocket courses are fueled by imagination and designed to bring new ideas to life in a fun, hands-on learning environment in a computer lab setting. Courses are designed for ages 8-14 and begin in June.

LEGO Robotics

Imaginative play and experimentation spark enthusiasm to learn as students use LEGO® Bricks and software to bring life to LEGO models. Designed for ages 7-14, these courses begin in July.

A Wrinkle in Time and Camp Half-Blood

Explore the universe in a world of magic, mystery and mystical beings as we draw inspiration from Madeline L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time. Design a tesseract, craft a whimsical accessory and more. At Camp Half-Blood kids can create a mirror of Aphrodite and a shield like Athena’s as they explore the world of Percy Jackson. Both camps are designed for ages 8-14 and begin in June.
