Sue Lonac earned her Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of California at Davis in 1995. A lifelong movie buff, she loves directors Terrence Malick, Ava DuVernay, John Sayles, John Schlesinger, Jessica Yu, and the Coen brothers, among others. She writes for Seattle Screen Scene and volunteers for the Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival and the Cascadia International Women’s Film Festival. At WCC, she presently teaches Film 120: Film Adaptations and a course that she built herself, Film 160: American Women Filmmakers.
