Katherine Taylor has taught art classes through Community Education since 1992. She showed artistic talent at the age of four (as many do) and has been drawing ever since. Katherine first began exhibiting her work while a student at Western, and more recently at the Whatcom Museum. Though she is modest about her talents, she is a terrific teacher; her students always learn a lot and have a great time doing so.
Katherine holds an MFA and BFA from the University of Washington, and a BA in Education (Art & Elementary Ed) from WWU.
Besides teaching and creating art, Katherine enjoys reading and biking (her main mode of transportation), as well as skiing at Mt. Baker (where she's been a ski instructor since 1984).
