Mark Turner

Mark Turner has been a professional photographer for nearly twenty years. He has two books in print and is working on a third. Mark has taught photography workshops at North Cascades Institute, Siskiyou Field Institute, and The Burke Museum as well as presenting shorter programs for garden and native plant groups around Washington. He provides a warm, friendly, hands-on experience for his students. His teaching style is engaging and participatory so each student feels they're getting all the individual attention they need.

Mark Turner is an Associate Fellow of Photography in the Professional Photographers of Washington, a Certified Professional Photographer, and a member of the Professional Photographers of America. He received an Associate's degree in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, Bachelors in Audio Visual Communication from RIT, and a Masters in Telecommunication from Kent State University. He participates in photographic continuing education courses annually to improve his creative and technical skills.

Mark Turner has been married to Natalie McClendon for over 30 years. They have two grown sons. They garden on their very public corner in the Lettered Streets neighborhood. Mark is on the Sehome Arboretum board of governors and on the state board for the Washington Native Plant Society.
