Davidow, Jenny

Jenny Davidow
  • Departments:Community & Continuing Education Instructor

Jenny Davidow invites you to change forever the way you experience dreams.  Her course, “Creative Dreaming: An Introduction” shows you how to understand, shape, and influence your dreams.  You will enter into a dynamic conversation with your deeper self that will yield positive changes in both your dreams and your waking life.

Jenny’s dream workshops create a nurturing and safe place to discover your creativity and inner wisdom – through the fascinating and unique Technicolor stories that we create in dreams. In these stories, each symbol carries important meanings and helpful messages, and every detail is a clue to help you move toward increased balance and satisfaction in your life.

Jenny has offered beginning to advanced dream workshops to enthusiastic students for over 30 years. Many past students write to her today to let her know that their lives were changed by the self-acceptance and insight gained in her workshops years ago. Many who were plagued by nightmares have reported a significant change toward more creativity and enjoyment in their dreams as a result of the workshops.

Jenny’s passion in dreams and the subconscious began as a child, when she had frequent nightmares.  She was a soldier on a battlefield – with cannons firing, the enemy advancing, and little hope for survival. This dream repeated and repeated, and she could not figure out why, but she had an intuition that there was a message trying to get through. Later on, the ‘Battlefield’ dreams morphed into ‘Tidal Wave’ dreams.

At the time, Jenny could not have guessed that her nightmares were leading her into an area so exciting and creative that her life and career would be devoted to helping people to embrace the wisdom in dreams.

While earning a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Jenny developed specific steps to identify and understand the messages offered like a gift in every symbol and dream.  As Jenny taught her workshops, it became clear that her method could go even farther, to transform unpleasant, dull, or nightmarish dreams into positive, creative adventures.  After Jenny transformed her own nightmares, she has helped dreamers use the same tools to transform their dreams as well.

Jenny’s book, Embracing Your Subconscious: Bringing All Parts of You into Creative Partnership, is available in both soft cover and as an ebook. Her work also appears in three anthologies: Dreamscaping: New and Creative Ways to Work with Your Dreams; Love Games; and The Spirit of Writing. Jenny holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Jenny greatly enjoys the beauty of Bellingham and takes long, peaceful walks near the water and in the woods.  She is also a passionate life-long journaler.  Jenny offers individual sessions for discovering the personal and transformative messages in dreams, as well as hypnotherapy sessions to increase confidence and achieve goals.
