Scholarships give access to excellent educational opportunities whether the student is preparing to transfer to a four-year school or earn their two-year degree in a high-demand field such as cybersecurity, business, healthcare or many others.

The need

To achieve their aspirations, over 60 percent of Whatcom students – first-generation, students of color, military veterans, returning students and recent high school graduates - need assistance to pay for tuition.  The  Foundation experienced a 15% increase in the number of students applying for scholarships for the 2015-16 academic year. We expect this to continue to increase.

Building futures together

“Your contribution to my education has changed the lives of many people, not just mine. You’ve changed the lives of my three children, my future patients, and the community I hope to serve. It is because of your financial help that I can put all of my energy and enthusiasm toward completing my degree. I truly cannot wait to begin my career and a new life.”
-Ania, pursuing a degree in WCC’s physical therapist assistant program

Give to a scholarship

Scholarships help students persist in their dream of a college education.

Donate to our general scholarship fund - or create a named scholarship in honor of someone special or contribute to an established Foundation scholarship.  Your gift helps ensure that more students - regardless of financial circumstances - have access to an innovative, high-quality education.
