Important course information
Students must have basic computer skills and consistent access to the Internet.
For a typical two-year community college, a full-quarter 5-credit course is based on five hours of structured learning / online lectures / videos / web-based exercises / community experiences, etc. per week with an average of two hours per credit of additional unstructured learning, reading/homework, etc. This adds up to a total of 15 hours of work per week for a 5-credit course. During the shorter summer quarter (eight weeks), the workload is heavier. This is an average; depending on a student's learning style and abilities, time will vary.
