The Whatcom Community College Foundation

2018-2019 WCC Foundation and SEECRS scholarships applications are due February 26th.

WCC Foundation awards more than $300,000 to Whatcom students each year thanks to contributions from the community. Students can apply for All WCC Foundation scholarships and the SEECRS program through a single application.

The Dream.US Scholarship for Washington State Community College Graduates
WA community college graduates scholarship opportunity to complete a bachelor’s degree at:
University of Washington – Seattle Campus and Eastern Washington University
Awards of to $7,250 per year. The total maximum award $14,500.
Deadline: March 1st, 2018

American Indian Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility criteria: Completed 2018-2019 FAFSA, need based, social and culture ties to an American Indian tribe or community, full-time enrollment (12+ credits), be a Washington State resident, intend to use education to benefit the American Indian community.
Multiple scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000, renewable.
Deadline: February 1, 2018.

College Success Foundation of Washington State
• These scholarships require a filed FAFSA or WASFA application.
• Deadline for filing for these scholarships is February 28, 2018.

CSF -WA State Governors’ Scholarship for Foster Youth
Eligibility criteria: Foster youth or place in federally recognized care, minimum of a 2.0 GPA, full-time enrollment (12+ credits). Resided in Washington State for at least 3 academic years prior to graduating from high school or obtaining a GED.
40 to 50 new scholarships each year ranging from $2000 to $4000, renewable.

CSF -Leadership 1000 Scholarship
Eligibility criteria: Need based, minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA, full-time enrollment (12+ credits). Scholarship recipients also receive academic, financial literacy, and social and emotional support to ensure graduation.
Multiple scholarships ranging from $1500 to $5,000, renewable.

Washington State Opportunity Scholarship
Need based, pursing an eligible high demand major in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care.
Eligibility Criteria: Completed 2018-2019 FAFSA or WASFA, be a Washington State resident, received a diploma or GED from a Washington State institution, half-time enrollment (6+ credits), minimum of a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
Multiple scholarships up to $22,500, renewable.
Deadline; February 28, 2018.

Building Industry of Washington
BIAW Education Program Scholarship
Washington state residents pursuing construction industry related field of study.
Awards are up to $10,000 and can be re-applied for. Deadline May 4, 2018.

Washington Women in Need (WWIN):
Is a nonprofit organization that provides education and health care grants to low-income women in Washington State. This March a number of Education Grants will be open to qualifying women across Washington. Grantees will receive up to $5,000 over a one-year period, which can be used for tuition and required books. The application will be opened from March 1st – March 31st, 2018.
