Funds for Excellence Awards
WCC Foundation supported 15 Funds for Excellence projects this year. "Advancing Equity: On-boarding new English Language Learning (ELL) immigrant students" was one of the funded projects. Language barriers, limited familiarity with computers and software, and lack of internet access are some of the major tech challenges for ELL students. With donor funds, WCC was able to provide translation support via bilingual tech helpers who assist ELL students with everything from technology checkouts to translating key documents and videos required for online classes. Please reach out to us if you would like to sponsor a Funds for Excellence Award and contribute to continued innovation on our campus.

WCC Foundation Student Ambassador Program
The WCC Foundation Student Ambassador Program was established to create a mutually beneficial relationship between the WCC Foundation, student scholars, and local community leaders. Student scholarship recipients serve as Foundation Student Ambassadors at community events, college functions, and local fundraisers, while enhancing professional skills, gaining industry contacts, and refining their voice and story. If you are interested in supporting the professional development of our scholars or are drawn to the community building intent of this program, please reach out to us to learn more.

The WCC Orca Alumni Association is open to any and all current and former WCC students. Heritage Bank was founded in 1927 with the belief that when banks and neighbors work together, great communities grow stronger.
Heritage has remained true to this vision—and close to our roots—offering financial solutions that put our customers and local businesses first. Perhaps that's why our company has grown from a single location to a robust network of branches throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Heritage Bank believes in the possibilities for each and every person—and the power of community to improve the lives of those around [them].
"We invest significant time and resources toward creating hope and opportunities in the areas we serve. Whether we're sponsoring philanthropic events or building houses for Habitat for Humanity, we're always looking for ways to plug in and give back. Serving our neighbors is what we do. It's what we've done for more than 90 years. And it's as core to our company as our banking services. We know when neighbors help neighbors, the whole community benefits. And that's true prosperity."
