As a result of completing the nursing assistant certificate, you should be able to:
- Identify how the individual's culture and spiritual beliefs affect the older adult clients.
- Describe the nursing care required by clients with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
- Describe the nursing care required by clients with common disorders of the circulatory, respiratory, endocrine, urinary, gastrointestinal, and urological system.
- Communicate professionally with clients and healthcare team members.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety and infection prevention in the healthcare setting and in the nursing laboratory.
- Explain concepts related to client care.
- Identify and describe basic ethical and legal concerns related to patient care.
- Use basic nursing skills in the clinical setting.
