As a result of completing the substance use disorder professional program, you should be able to:
- Apply evidence-based treatment interventions for individuals and families experiencing substance use disorders.
- Perform counseling techniques characterized by effective communication, boundaries, and empathy.
- Analyze the cultural context of clients.
- Apply federal and state laws, ethics, and standard agency policies.
- Employ client centered substance use disorder case management skills, treatment modalities, and methods.
- Evaluate clients with co-occurring disorders within an integrated services model.
